Rosie Young
Professor Young
has been Professor of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong since
1974 and has served as Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University. She
is active in public service, and has served as Chairman of the Medical
Council, member of the Hospital Authority, and Council Member of
the Royal Australian College of Physicians.
Professor Young
obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1953 and a Doctor
of Medicine in 1959. She is Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians
of London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Australia. Professor Young was
bestowed Honorary Fellow of Newnham College of University of Cambridge
in 1988, and Honorary Doctorate of Science of both University of
Hong Kong and Open Learning Institute of Hong Kong in 1995.
